A Very Busy Day!

We started our morning with a big project in mind! Yesterday afternoon, we noticed that Little Bonk Bonk was still bonking into our window. The children began thinking about ideas we hadn’t tried yet from our list of ways to help him. One suggestion stood out, giving him some food!

We got out our bird feeder and filled it with birdseed. Everyone headed outside, excited to help, and we tried hanging the feeder on the window. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay up!

We had to problem-solve. Some of the children suggested taping it to the window, but we wondered if there might be a better way. So, we decided to do a little research. We turned to Google and learned that warming the suction cups could help them stick better.

That’s exactly what we tried this morning!

It worked! Our birdfeeder stayed up, we'll have to wait to see if this helps Little Bonk Bonk out!

Later in the morning we capered. Willow Room and Spruce Room opened our outside doors so the kids could explore outside, in Willow, and in Spruce! It was a fun day!

After capers we headed to our end of morning meeting to discuss our kindness project that we created before spring break. The children want to name it and then we will hang it in the hallway!
The votes were tallied and our project will be named...
HEART!

We'll be hanging our project in the hallway soon!
