2 Birthdays & Our Kindness Work Continues!

Today was an extra special day because we had two friends with birthdays today! JaS and JB. Both of their bubbles turned out so beautiful and unique! We hope you enjoy your birthdays, boys!!

The rest of our morning was spent around kindness. We thought we would start from the beginning and revisit our Be Kind book by Pat Zietlow Miller. We had wonderful discussions with the Willows about how we can be kind, but we took it a step further by bringing our thoughts about kindness to life! We wondered, "Can you draw kindness?" The Willows drew such sweet pictures, all different but alike in kindness.

PK: "This is me and my dad. Here's my mom. This is my grandma. She was alone so we visited her!"
HA: "I drew flowers!"

CL: "This is my mom and dad. They're both drawing together. Here's my house with flowers and a mailbox!"
CG: "This is me and this is one of my cousins. I drew me sharing my toy with him!"

TS and CL drew their houses right next to each other!
TS: "I drew my house by CL! This is how I walk to his house to have a playdate!"
EPA: "I drew a smiley face!"
WN: "She's helping someone up! He fell and he's sad and he's hurt. She's getting him a bandaid!"
AH: "This is her dad. She's happy because her dad is here. This is a heart!"

MW: "She's feeling sad because her bracelet broke. This friend is helping her. She said, 'Here you go! You can borrow my bracelet! Here's a cat stuck in a tree and this firefighter is rescuing the cat from the tree!"

SB: "This is two friends giving a high five!"
LuS: "He's giving his friend a hamburger! It's raining and this guy is giving him an umbrella."

We also continued our good work with measurement! The Willows used rulers to see how short or long different materials were. Check us out!
CG compared a block vs. a toy, "The block is bigger! It's 5. The toy is 3."

MW measured her pencil!

FJ looked at the numbers on the shelf to remind herself of the numbers she was looking for.

LuS measured the blocks, "It's 4 long!"
