Happy Birthday to AH! She painted her birthday bubble with two friends and it turned out so pretty. We hope you enjoy your special day, AH!!
The Willows had an extremely busy morning! We introduced a new line artist today named Marta Minujin. We took a look at some of her artwork and noticed that she uses "diagonal lines," "up and down lines," "horizontal lines," and "vertical lines." The Willows also noticed that she uses "thick" and "skinny" lines. Her work is "so rainbow!!" With this inspiration in mind, the Willows went to work cutting colorful paper to make their own lines artwork! The Willows worked so carefully with Ms. Jessica to cut different types of lines with a paper cutter and some scissors. Once, they were satisfied with their lines, they pasted them onto paper. All their artwork turned out so eye-catching!
The Willows also experimented with magnets and paint to create some more lines artwork. With paper and magnets placed in a tray, the children slowly guided their magnet wand underneath to drag the magnets through the paint on top! It created such fascinating lines!!
