The children were so excited to bring our new friend to the forest today. On our way there, we practiced walking safely together on the sidewalk: staying close, watching each other, and moving as one big group.
Once we reached the forest, the children couldn’t wait to introduce her to some of their favorite landmarks: the bear near the entrance and the climbing tree at the top of the hill. These are places that feel special to them, and it was lovely to see how proudly they shared them.
When it was time to head deeper into the forest, the energy was contagious. The children eagerly pointed out all the things they love to do there, from climbing and exploring to finding treasures hidden in the leaves. Watching them welcome a new friend into this familiar space was a beautiful reminder of how community grows through shared experiences.
