We want to wish the happiest of birthdays to our friend EM!!!
She did such a great job painting her birthday bubble with a few friends. They noticed that they had mixed the paints into "fall colors." We hope she has the best birthday weekend!!!
Today we introduced a new artist to the Willow friends, Piet Mondrian!
Piet Mondrian paints using lines that are vertical and horizontal, some lines are thick and some lines are thin. He only uses primary colors, which the Willows recognized immediately! Building on our work from yesterday we made black lines, thick and thin, on white paper. We will fill in the boxes that we made with red, yellow, and blue next week! Maybe we can be like Piet!
Some of the Willows realized they could use their fingers to paint lines too! They discovered that their fingers made such thick lines.
We also worked on line making on our new calligraphy cloth!
We continued exploring lines and storytelling on our tree cookies with wiki sticks.
LaS began making circles with her wiki sticks so we looked at artwork by Wassily Kandinsky as well!
We enjoyed working in the block area too!
It's one of our favorite spaces!
These friends made the city of Indianapolis!
Another friend called it Pineapple City!
Be Happy, Be Kind
