This morning, we decided to paint like Jackson Pollock! Since we had shades of green on our minds from yesterday's reading of Green and from creating our big green paintings, we thought we would challenge the Willows to mix their own jars of green paint. We researched Pollock and discovered that he liked to get low to the ground to splatter and drip paint on a big canvas! He would use paint brushes, spoons, and even spatulas! We set out jars, sporks, and straws to create our own shades of green!
We used yellow and blue paint, but then wondered what would happen if we added black or white? The Willows found out that white made their green "lighter" and black made their green "darker!"
REMINDER: Please don't forget that there are conferences tonight and tomorrow night. We can't wait to chat during your allotted time!
