We want to wish the Happiest of Birthdays to EPA!!!
She celebrated her birthday with us by painting her birthday bubble purple, pink, and green.
We sang to her and she was our line leader for the day, too!
It was a great day celebrating you, EPA!
Happy Birthday!!!
We heard through the grapevine that there was a very sweet little pumpkin patch up the street from Ambrose that was made specifically for our little AFC friends! We decided to head out and check it out! When we left school it was drizzling a little bit but by the time we got to the pumpkins it was raining quite a bit on us! We grabbed some pumpkins and then headed back to school! We are so grateful to our wonderful neighbors for loving and supporting us!!!
Each child was able to pick out a pumpkin!
Such a generous gift!!!
Once we got back to school we explored with our new pumpkins!
We added playdough and fall loose parts, we added some to our block creations, and we even had some friends paint on them with the color white!
To make our day even more exciting we explored the color WHITE!
Yesterday afternoon we had a friend drawing with a white colored pencil on white paper. Some of the kids sitting with him told him that they couldn't see the white so he wasn't making anything. He responded, "it's camouflage!" We then wondered if white was a color and how we could see it! We did some drawings with white on white paper and then rubbed over our lines with colored pencils and the kids were amazed to see the "magical" lines show up!
With that in mind we read the book Pink Is Not A Color this morning, which introduced the idea of white, shades, and tints! Then we invited the children to paint with white paint on black paper and to try drawing with white crayons on white paper to see the "magic" that might happen! Check us out!!!
