Today was our first day of CAPERS!!!
For those of you who are new to AFC, once a week every classroom spends time "capering" with their neighboring classrooms. This is a time for each classroom to share what they are interested in and investigating. The classrooms that we caper with are Spruce and Dogwood. Each classroom sets up invitations and provocations for the children to explore. We open our doors and the children are able to free flow through all three classrooms. We have found that when the children go to other spaces they find new interests, help deepen the learning that is happening in that space with a new perspective, and even make new friends! Each classroom will take pictures and blog all of the happenings from their classroom.

Willow Happenings
In the Willow Room we invited the children to explore in our sensory table full of rice, scoops, and gems, our light table with colorful shapes for creations, magnatiles, paper scraps and gluing, our small world with little animals and builders, our new magnet wall with hooks and sparkly hair ties, and magnifying glasses with special rocks! We hope you enjoy our blog!
