A Creative Monday Morning!

 Happy Monday, Willow families! We started our morning with a fun new song that helps the Willows learn each other's names. Each child got a music scarf, scrunched it in their hands, and sang, "[Name] in the box. sits so still. Will he come out? Yes, he will! Pop!" and they tossed their scarves up in the air. Each Willow had a turn as we went around the circle. They really enjoyed it! 

After morning meeting, we got busy! We have a very creative group of Willows. Their creativity pours into their play,It's fascinating!

LuS and LB spent a long time building a "restaurant." LB said the little buttons were "food."

We added the magnetic ramps to our magnet wall and it was a hit! The Willows made some very interesting tracks that connected to make their marbles go down!

We also added a big piece of turf to the block area to create a small world. These friends sat together for a long time, sweetly telling a story about the "forest" they made for their animals. SB said, "We could use this upside down tree so the animals can get over to the other side!"

HL: "I made a bumpy slide!"

We continued our color mixing experiments in the science area...

We brought out some colored paper and scissors and got to cutting! We are planning to use the scraps to create a collage during capers this Thursday. Stay tuned...
