All of our Willow Friends were so happy to see each other this morning!
We had a lot of hugs and so many stories to share as we got back into the routine of things!
One of the big conversation topics was why kids were being dropped off at the front of school rather than walked in by moms and dads!
We shared with the children that the work on our playscape had begun, they immediately wanted to check it out! We broke into two groups and they each got a turn to look out of the windows to see what was going on!
Once we made it down the hallway I asked the children what they thought was going to happen on the playscape?
They said:
~There's an excavator!
~It's going to dig up the whole playscape!
~We can't play when there's big machines out there.
~Maybe we'll get a slide
~Or maybe we will get some swings!
~They're going to make a new sandbox
~We're going to get a pool!
We'll keep an eye on the progress! The children are really excited to see what's going to come next!
We also had a lot of fun in the classroom!
We explored with floam and animals...
"Look at our kitty cat paws!"
We played with stickers. The kids loved trying to spell their names!
We explored with colors and shapes on the light table...
We worked hard on our city with the blocks!
Some friends wanted to use the same block as a "hammer" and they did a great job problem solving how to share the "hammer" so everyone could use it!
We also played with Plus Plus Blocks and babies! It was quite a day!!!
