Today was a day filled with beautiful happenings!
Our morning started with our friends continuing their work from Friday.
If you missed Friday's blog a group of three children were very interested in protecting the garden area in front of our windows. They noticed greenery poking up from the ground and they are really excited for flowers to bloom!
On Friday they each created their own signs to put in the garden telling others not to step in the space. Today we laminated their signs, they then decided to add a stick to the back in order to make them stand up and then we headed outside to add them to the garden!
Later in the morning a small group did some work on our city.
This group of friends wanted to create building to add to our streets.
AH wanted to make the cookie shop.
LS made the flower shop.
FJ made the Hair Saloon.
WN made the dentist office.
Some friends began designing the roads, played with the cars and their little figures!
Once the small group was finished with their buildings they brought them over to the city.
They even decided to add a sidewalk so that they could walk to each of their buildings!
GW said, "just like we take walks!"
Later in the morning we read the book:
and the friends that worked on the city building shared their work with the class!
Everyone is very excited to play with those in the future!
We had lots of fun happenings outside and other spaces in our classroom, as well!
