"Today is Capers!!"

This morning some friends made an interesting discovery... Ms. Beth brought in a box and the girls thought that pattern on it was "pretty." They wondered what it could be used for and had the brilliant idea to make it into a crib for our babies!

They thought about how to make it comfortable for the babies and GW went to grab a pillow. The first pillow she grabbed was "too long." Then she grabbed another one and that one was "too small." Lastly, she tried a bigger pillow and it was just right! Each baby fit in there perfectly. LS and ES had another good idea to add a blanket to the crib too.

At Capers time, this spot was very popular! We asked the Willows and our hallway friends, "how can you show care?" and so much care was shown to our babies!

LS fed her baby a bottle.
These friends fed their babies too.

DL held his baby close and fed her a bottle.
CL had the same idea too!
GH declared, "My baby is going to sleep!" He placed his baby in the new crib.
CL also "put his baby to bed" and sweetly told him, "goodnight!"

We have noticed that the Willows have been moving their bodies a lot inside and outside, so we thought we would zoom in on noticing movement. We put a slow projection on, set crayons and papers out, and asked "can you draw what slow looks like?" Crayons moved very slowly on their paper...

ES said, "I'm going to draw squiggles."

DS: "It's a blob like that small one!" as she pointed to the projection.

We also continued our work with emotions and faces. Many "emotional" faces emerged from the playdough...

LB: "This is happy!"

GH: "This is a happy face!"
ES: "Mine is a silly face!"

DS: "Mine is feeling sad. This one is feeling like this!" as she pointed to the frustrated face.
