Happy Thursday Caper Day!
We had such a wonderful day in Willow today. We were excited to share our learning with the Spruce Room and the Dogwood Room.
If you would like to see the learning that went on Dogwood and Spruce you can check out their blogs:
In Willow room, we continued our self portraits. We added colored yarn to our wooden loose parts and asked the children, "What is the best part of you?" Some beautiful portraits were made. Some friends added brown yarn, some added yellow, and one friend added yellow and brown!
We also explored light and shadows in our small world area. We introduced some new color paddles to the space, added big lights and small lights, and even added our projector. We noticed some color mixing and some building happening. Some friends also utilized our space in some other unexpected, creative ways... the lights looked interesting inside an empty shelf and in between our stumps!
PK: "This is like a dark orange color."
GH: "Blue!"
FJ: "Blue! Green! The color like the sun!"
GW: "Woah, it turns blue!"
