Find your wild!

Today was our Forest day! Before we headed out, Ms. Beth read, "Finding Wild" by Megan Wagner Lloyd. In this book, the author describes how the "wild," or nature makes itself known to us. So, we asked the Willows a very important question: "What is your wild?" They searched and searched while they explored the Forest. We informed them that your wild can make you smile, make you happy, can be something you smell or see in the Forest, or more!

Here is the "wild" your child found:

ES: "Leaves are my wild! They smell like wood. This flower smells like worms. This milkweed too!"

MM: "This is my wild stick!"

LB: "My sticks!"

FJ: "These berries here and this leaf I found by the bridge"

LS: "This big stick and a flower!"

TS: "The stick!"

HL: "My wild is right there. It's a tiny little stick. Look at this wild! It's big!"

DS: "I found 3 wild! These sticks!"

MM: "This big stick and chopping plants down!"

DL: "My wild is the same as MM's! Chopping the plants down."

CL and HL: "The bridge!"

MW: "My leaves!"

GH: "The sticks!"

LS: "Berries!"

GW: "All those sticks behind LS!"

PK: "Running!"

MH: "A bug on the tree."

AH: "These berries!"

LG: "Sticks with ES!"

REMINDER: We've noticed that the Willows that don't already have bug spray in the classroom are getting pretty bit up by the mosquitos in the Forest. If you would like your child to have bug spray for the Forest, please feel free to send some in!
