A Special Day

Today was a very special day!
We were invited by Mrs. L. (HL's mom) to visit her first grade classroom at Bristol to see their newly hatched chicks! We have loved checking on the chicks from across the street throughout the year so it was really interesting to see what they could have looked like as babies!

We stopped for a group picture at the front of Bristol first!
And then off to see the baby chicks!!!
As Mrs. L brought the chicks over we could hear their little cheep cheeps and the kids loved it! We couldn't wait to see them.
Before we came we learned about being very quiet and very gentle with the little chicks. The Willows did AMAZING the entire time that we were there!

We counted the chicks. There are 1...2...3...4!
Any child that wanted to touch on of the chicks was given the chance too. They used one finger to be as gentle as possible and took turns (as nicely as preschoolers can lol).

We also got to watch a video of one of the chicks hatching!

We got to see how the chick grows inside of the egg...
When we got back to school we made some "thank you" pictures for Mrs. L!
We really appreciate this memorable experience and are so grateful for awesome parents in the Willow Room Family!!!

Thanks again, Mrs. L!!!

Be Happy, Be Kind
