Our investigation continues...

Our investigation into food continued as the children really studied the book Eating the Alphabet. We learned about some new fruits and vegetables that we had never heard of before! One of our favorites was an Ugli Fruit (of course, this one just made us laugh)!
HL was very intent on finding a banana to draw. He searched the back of the book and later found it under the letter B!
GP began working on her drawings without the book but then realized that she wanted to see more detail. She looked through the book to find the perfect fruits and vegetables to draw. She said, "I want there to be so many fruits and veggies in our kitchen!"

Later AW joined her and they explored all of the amazing foods that our book had to offer! In the picture above GP is talking with AW about peaches. GP said, "peaches are soft" and AW responded, "we should eat some peaches."
Here's GP with all of her amazing drawings!

AH wanted to continue her drawings from yesterday. She made strawberries, an orange, and a watermelon!
DL made a carrot!
CS made watermelon, a peach, a strawberries, and grapes.
MU made oranges and blueberries.
LG made oranges, strawberries, watermelon, and carrots.
AW said, "I made 1 plum, 1 apple, 1 orange, 11 cherries, and 17 grapes."
EK made apples!
MM made apples of all different colors!

Once outside these friends made soup and
these friends sold tomatoes, hot dogs, and everything!
We love seeing their joy of food and cooking transfer outside!
We can't wait to see where this will take us!!!
