We are excited to wish the happiest of birthdays to KA today!
Her birthday was earlier in the week but she got to spend a special day at home to celebrate, so today was our day to celebrate at school! Since we are MAKING things for our birthdays KA decided that she wanted to work with clay to make sculptures!

This is our first experience with clay and sculptures. We talked with the children about what a sculpture is and how we can make one. They were excited that it could be anything that they wanted it to be! The children given a choice whether or not to make a sculpture. While half of the class was inside working on sculptures the other half was outside enjoying this beautiful day!!!

Anyone that wants to paint them next week will have a chance to, once they are dry!
And of course we had to have a little dance party!
