What a day!

We have had a very busy day in the Willow Room!

We started off our morning with a dance party (because sometimes you just need to dance it out!) and the kids loved it!!!

Check out our moves in the video below!

And then we told the children about a new idea that we had. Since we have been talking about care, i.e. caring for each other and caring for our space, we wondered if they would like to care for a pet! We found a grant that will help a classroom buy a pet and talked with the children about it. As we looked at the grant we noticed that we could get either a fish or a hermit crab. The children voted on what kind of pet the Willow Room should adopt!

After lots of thought and maybe a few double votes (haha) we have decided to get...

Hermit Crab!!!
We'll keep you updated on our progress, hopefully we'll have a little class pet soon!!!

He also spent some time on a "field trip" to the front of the school!
The children dug in the dirt, explored and found nature to add to our collection, made lines and drawings with chalk, pretended with the fairy garden, use magnifying glasses and even experimented with a new tool!

It was a fun day!
Be Happy, Be Kind
