We continued our investigations today!
We explored lines in nature this morning. The kids loved having the chance to check out different kinds of nature up close, some even took the opportunity to draw what they saw!
HL noticed the interesting lines on the seashell.
He said, "Ms. Beth look, look there are little lines!"
He then took some time to draw what he noticed!
MH was working with an acorn. He dropped it on the floor and he heard a sound come from the inside!
In the video below MH decided that he wanted to crack open the acorn to see what was making the noise! Check it out!
MU wanted to check out he "coconut" too!
We had some friends hard at work with our line exploration with loose parts.
EK and GP even created a game of using the pieces to buy and sell "rings" to each other. In case you are wondering they are $11 a piece!
We are seeing lines in our building too!
Big, small, long and short...
At the light table we added straight lines and curved lines to see what the kids would make.

CS said, "we made an umbrella!"
MM said, "I made a boat, it needs a rutter."
MH made a car!
EF loved MH's car so she made one too!
