Today has been an eventful day!
We took some time during our morning meeting to talk about what we should name our restaurant space. The children came up with a giant list of names that we could use!
(Personally I'm in favor of Bacon Too! These kids are clever!)
Once we created our list, we took turns voting on what the children thought we should call it. It was quite the race between several names!
What name would you vote for???
Once the initial votes were counted we narrowed it down to the top four! These all got two votes and were tied for the win.
Our top four names are:
Helen's
Cake
Sausage
Straight Noodles
Each child then got the chance to vote again and the winner is...
Straight Noodles!!!
You'll have to check us out, so far we've got all 5 star reviews!
We also took some time this morning to get our oranges cut up and into the dehydrator!
We first cut an orange in half and explored what we saw, smelled, and felt.
They said that it:
Smelt like an orange (lol)
Smells sweet
Feels squishy
and
Looks orange!
We used a mandolin to cut the oranges.
We talked about safety first and I showed the children how to hold the mandolin correctly before we started. They used their big muscles (with a little help from me) and we cut A LOT of orange slices for the dehydrator. We can't wait to see what happens once they get dried out!!!
AW and KA had snuck in some tastings as we cleaned up, I don't blame them!!!
We're eager with anticipation to see how they turn out!!!
Be Happy, Be Kind
