We want to wish TC the happiest of birthdays!!!
She wanted to paint and have a flashlight dance party!
Happy Birthday, TC!!!
We also checked on our orange wedges.
I asked the kids if they thought they were ready and they said, "no".
I asked why not?
CS said, "they are still a little soft. They need to be dryer."
"It smells like orange marmalade."
"They smell like orange juice."
"They smell kinda sweet, maybe a little sour."
We also talked more about our restaurant and it's new name. We decided to take a walk this morning to look at restaurants and how they make their signs so that everyone knows what the name of their restaurant is. We revisited our voting chart, the kids are so excited for the restaurant to be called Straight Noodles!
We headed out on our walk and were interested to see how different restaurants made their signs.
Noticings:
-some signs were "flat" and "long"
-others were "small" and "stuck out"
-the signs were big
-they were only words
-some names were painted on the windows
-a lot of restaurants have table and chairs outside of them
We stopped at Clover and the Bee. A kind waitress talked with us and we loved it!
Thanks Amy from Clover and the Bee!
We had a great time checking out the restaurants in our area, we'll see how that influences our learning in the coming weeks!
Be Happy, Be Kind
