We were so excited to try out a new material this morning:
CLAY
We had created a space at one table for children to explore and experience clay but so many children were excited about we ended up extending our space to the next table. We watched as they pushed, smooshed, smoothed, poked, scraped, and touched the clay. Some of the children really dug into it and put it all over their hands and arms, while other gently touched and felt it as they tried to decide what they thought about it.
"I made a fish."
"Look! It can stand up!"
We will continue to explore with clay and see what potential we find!
