We headed to the forest this morning with a little something extra in our bag...
We brought with us three acorn squashes!
Before heading into the forest we compared the squash to the pumpkin that we cut apart yesterday. We noticed that they both had orange on them, they both have stems, and they are both round.
We also noticed that they squash is much smaller than the pumpkin and the squash are a different shape.
Once we headed into the forest we took some time to cut open the squash and explore the inside!
"It's yellow on the inside too!"
"Look, there are seeds. There were seeds in the pumpkin!"
"It kinda smells like a pumpkin."
"It feels gooey."
We enjoyed our time in the forest today!
