We had an amazing Cardinals/Caper day!
Todays caper blog is going to be a little different than in the past. Willow's blog will be only showing you pictures and telling you stories from our classroom. The children enjoyed the other spaces and if you would like to see what happened in those rooms please feel free to check out their blogs! This is how we will blog from now on on Fridays so we can be more intentional with what we share.

We started our morning with some of our friends feeling a little sad that they didn't have on Cardinal red so, being the ingenious little children that they are, they decided to make their clothes red using artwork! Children even made numbers for the back of their shirts, check it out!
After our morning excitement of making our own Cardinal shirts we headed out into the hallway to begin capers! Check out all of the Cardinal red!
In the Willow Room we created two provocations for the children to explore.
The first was new cinnamon play dough with loose parts, nature materials, and rolling pins.
We asked: Can you transform dough?
The second provocation was based on our study of color and feelings. Since we have been focusing on yellow and things that make us feel happiness we asked: How does yellow make you feel?
"This play dough smells good."
"I'm making cookies."
"This is an acorn!"
This friend made cookies and said, "I'm putting icing on the top."
"I'm making a monster."
More cookies being made. We might have to make some cookies in the future!
"I made so many cookies. Push down the dough and then look it's a cookie!"
"Look, I made holes."
"I made five cookies."
"Sunshine makes me happy"
"Flowers make me happy" "Birthday presents make me happy"
"Hearts and fishes make me happy"
"Drawing a picture of my mommy and daddy"
Willow children have also created a restaurant in our classroom so we had this space open for children to explore as well.
Blocks is one big interest in Willow as well. We had a few friends building castles this morning.
Ms. Nora created a space for children to play in the hallway as well and wanted to make sure those pictures were shared!
