Capers!

What is capers, you might ask?!

We started to plan using capers many years ago but it had to put on pause because of covid. Well, now capers is back! Capers consists of each of the classrooms in our hallway; Acorn, Seedling, Maple, and Willow, opening their doors for all to come explore! We had a morning meeting explaining the process to the children and talked about where they could play and how to stay safe. There is a gate put up in the hallway so that the children knew what the boundaries are (there is also a teacher in the hallway to keep children safe).

Through capering the children are able to explore new provocations and invitations, they can collaborate with new children on things that they are interested, and they are able to feel freedom as they engage in new learning experiences.
