Today we decided to transform our space.
We have noticed that the children love most of our spaces but we have some parts of our classroom that could use some extra attention! So we talked with the children about how we can maneuver our space around to make it more engaging! Check out what we did (it is definitely still a work in progress so we will have finished pictures on the blog hopefully tomorrow).
We moved our quiet space, pretend space, and our music space. We still have our musical instruments out but that space is being transformed into a loose parts creation space!
The kids helped clean the spaces as we moved things as well!
Moving this log took a lot of hard work and team work! Check out the video below of them helping each other lift it up to put it on the carpet.
"We did it!"
Here are the beginnings of our new quiet space.
This table was used last year as our peace table. When the children had a problem they could go to this space to work their problem out! We are going to talk with the children tomorrow about using this to help solve our problems! We'll let you know how that goes!
We also enjoyed time playing in the classroom!
We used metallic markers to add to our line art!
These two friends created their own hand clapping game.
Check out the video below to hear it!
They even taught some of their friends how to play it! We love to see the patterning they are using with their hands and of course that they used the alphabet as part of their game!
"Look, I made a J!"
It's been a great day!
Be Happy, Be Kind
