A new invitation was set up using a mirror, salt and watercolors. The children were excited and full of wonder. JS asked "What's that going to be?" Ms. Stephanie asked what does this look like and what do you think will happen when you add the watercolors to it? KM said "It looks like snow!" I think it's going to fuzz up replied JS. With that said, both he and KM joined by a couple of friends jumped right in and slowly began using the droppers to add watercolors to the salt. They begin to notice as the colors touched the salt it started to spread. They add more colors and watched as the salt became an explosion of changing colors. Some more friends walked over and noticed what was happening and said "this is awesome!"
BP - This is cool!
WM - It's so beautiful!
ZM - It's like a rainbow!
MB - I love it guys! It looks like a rainbow!
ET - This is really cool! It looks like painting.
KM - It's so pretty!
Once everyone had finished with the "salt masterpiece" as AG excitedly called it, we took the mirror over to the sink to get all cleaned up. They were all so excited as they watched the salt and colors slowly flow down down down into the sink. Check them out in the video below.
Now that the mirror was free and clear of all the salt and colors, JC said "Wow! I can see myself!"
