We revisited a colorful provocation from earlier in the school year and the kids were so excited!
We talked with them about looking at their work, slowing down, and noticing the little things.
As they used the droppers to put slowly put watercolors in the vases, they watched to see what would happen. What happens when you put one drop? What happens when you add two drops? and so on!
One child yelled, "look at the swirlies!" and then watched as the "swirlies" made their way to the bottom of the vase. Just the simple direction to slow down gave the children an amazing view of movement in water and they loved it!
"I'm going to put in lots of drops and see what happens."
"Oh look, look they are moving all around!"
"The yellow is mixing with the blue."
"It looks like they're dancing."
This was a great lesson for all of us.
Slow down and notice the little pleasures in life!

We have noticing the children making some chain reactions this week so we will see where that takes us!
To get some energy out we did yoga this morning. The kids did such a good job stretching their bodies and following directions!!!
We're making due with this cold weather! Hopefully we'll be able to get back outside soon.
