We are feeling creative and messy today!
We put out these awesome shape builders and the children had so much fun being creative. We saw a lot of faces, people, and animals!
"There's a bird next to him."
We made oobleck this morning and it was a hit!
"It's so sticky and slimy."
"It's so gooey."
"Yeah, it's really gooey."
"I don't like it. It's too sticky."
"It's like glue."
"It looks like a waterfall."
"Look at this!"
"Let's bury our hands!"
"Isn't this so cool!"
A small group went to the kitchen atelier to make play dough!
They wanted it to smell good so we brought some essential oils with us and picked the one that was our favorite.
After smelling all of the beautiful scents we decided that we wanted to use the orange essential oil. It was by far our favorite!
"I think we need the orange, it smells like oranges!"
We added flour, salt, cream of tartar, and oil to our bowl.
We boiled water to add later!

Then it was time to stir it.
"It smells like flour."
"I smell the orange, it's pretty!"
We learned how to knead the dough and then the kids asked to play with it for a bit before we went back to the room.
"It's so soft."
"I think this is the best play dough ever!"
"We need tools."
Such a fun messy day! Our mess continued once we got outside also because the playscape is very muddy. So expect some mud on your children when they come home today!
