Reminder
Tomorrow, May 12th, AFC closes at 3:30!
Today was going to be the day that we released our butterflies! Yes, I said "was". The children spent time observing and getting their final drawings of the butterflies. Then we looked at the weather and it looks like there may be some rain coming this afternoon. One friend said, "but the butterflies wings just got dried." The children then worried that the butterflies would suffer in the rain. We brought these concerns to our morning meeting and after some discussion we decided that we will release them on a better day with "prettier" weather!
The butterflies were flapping their wings a lot today, which caused quite a bit of excitement!
I kept hearing the kids yell excitedly, calling each other over to see.
They were also happy to see the butterflies enjoying our sugar water, strawberries, and the flowers that they left for them yesterday!
Our restaurant was a hot spot this morning as well! WM began making a pizza truck and pizza out of magnatiles. He then drove the pizza over to our Firebird Restaurant so they could sell it to customers!
ZG said, "look the pizza comes in a pizza box!"
WM said, "the yellow is cheese pizza and the red is pepperoni pizza."
Here we are checking on today's weather!
When we got back inside WM brought the butterflies another flower and JD wanted to check on them to make sure that their wings were drying properly! They looked good and we will hopefully release them at the end of this week!
Be Happy, Be Happy
Be Kind, Be Kind
