Planting seeds!

We were so lucky to be gifted a variety of seeds for us to plant in our fairy garden! This morning we worked hard preparing to plant the seeds. First we wrote our names on planting stakes. We used these to show were we planted our seeds.

During our morning meeting we took some time to look at and explore the seeds that we were going to plant. We were given a list of what flowers these seeds would produce.

The children wanted to look up flowers and try to match the seed to their flower! We used the iPad to see if we could figure out what flower each seed was going to produce.

The seeds we are planting are:

Nasturtium

Morning Glory

Hyacinth Bean

Butterfly Pea

Sweet Pea (flowering)

After identifying each flower and their seed we headed outside to begin planting! The children did a great job digging in the dirt to make the perfect bed for all of their seeds!
