Oh My! They Got Bigger!!!

We had such a wonderful and busy morning! Excitement was in the air and filled the room after one of the friends noticed how big the caterpillars had gotten over the weekend!  On Friday we had talked about and wondered what they might look like after the weekend and boy, oh boy the friends noticed the changes right away!  Today is day 7 of their observations and they spent a lot of time observing the caterpillars in amazement. They watched as the caterpillars moved about in the jar, picked the jar up for closer observations and then a couple of friends wanted  to draw what they saw. Check it out:

WM - Oh my! They got bigger!  

ZG -They're on a web.

WM - Oh my gosh! They are giant!

JD - They got way long and some of them shredded!

WK - They are really big when you look in this glass and  they shed their skin.

WK - First they were this small!

JD - Yeah, and now they're this big!

WK - None of them are on the bottom, they are climbing up and up.

JD - They're going to hang on the web and make a J shape and turn into a cocoon.

WK - And then pop out into a butterfly.

They got real big!

These friends worked on making more food for the restaurant.

I added bacon to the menu.

These friends are waiting on the hostesses to bring them a menu.

The girls are trying to figure out AG's favorite color before he orders his food.

ZG - We have to look at the graph because it shows us his favorite color.

ZG created a dog game for her friend WM and she explained to him how to play the game.

Before heading to our Zone we checked on our flowers in Zone 9.

Below, the boys are looking for more caterpillars.

The friends enjoyed tossing and catching the ball.

They even crafted a way to get the ball up the slide to the person waiting at the top before letting it roll back down to the bottom.  Check it out!
