Check out our caterpillars!!!
We had one caterpillar in a J shape yesterday.
This morning we had five caterpillars in a J shape and one in it's chrysalis!
"Ms. Beth, Ms. Beth they're all at the top!"
"One is in it's chrysalis! We're going to have a butterfly soon!"
"I can see all of the bumps on them. They have them inside of the chrysalis."
Some friends looked back through our observation book to look at all the changes that they caterpillars have gone through so far!
JG said, "I'm making mine inside of the chrysalis."
The restaurant was in full swing today. The video below shows you the lastest addition to our restaurant! These kids are so creative!!!
Wait! Somethings happening with our caterpillars!
Later in the morning (before heading to the forest) one friend noticed that the cup of caterpillars was shaking. We went to inspect what was happening and we quickly noticed that another caterpillar was making it's chrysalis!!!
Finally we were off to the forest! We put boots on all of the children in anticipation of the mud and the forest didn't disappoint! We came across a lot of amazing puddles to jump in and plenty of squishy mud in the forest!

Some kids were excited to jump in the puddles while others just wanted a leisure walk through them!
Once in the forest we went on a hunt to find all of the mud and puddles that we could!
The kids ran around yelling and laughing, "We're mud monsters, roarrr!"
When we got back from the forest we were pleasantly surprised with ANOTHER chrysalis!!!
The kids were so excited and are hoping that by tomorrow we'll have six caterpillars in their chrysalises!
This has been quite the magical day! We know tomorrow is going to spectacular too!
