Today was a day for the children to continue and finish work that we have been doing all week.
As we studied the snake skin and small snake the children drew pictures of what they saw. To finalize our drawings I put watercolors, their drawings and the snakeskin on the light table. The children took this opportunity to paint what they noticed!
We also continued exploring with flower seeds. In the container of seeds that we were gifted were some extra, loose seeds. We took some time this morning to sort them into their own bowls so that we could decide on what to do with them next! We might plant them in the same space as our other seeds but some friends talked about finding another spot on our playscape that might need some beautifucation. We will continue to discuss our plan for the seeds next week!
We love the block area and we have noticed that the children keep making ramps. Today I gave them a small ball and they did some really fun work with their ramps! They were excited to show me that they made a spot where the ball "jumps" off of the ramp and onto another one! Check out the video to see how it works!
We checked on our seeds. Still no growth but we were happy to see that the soil was still wet so our seeds are getting plenty of water!
We then headed to our zone. We got to play in the sandbox, which is one of our favorite spaces to be in!
The sand was still wet so we were able to make some very cool structures!
