Today's blog is going to be full of a lot of pictures! The children were very busy today. We talked this morning about artist Andy Goldsworthy and his work in nature. The children were excited to head outside and explore with nature in order create their own art! One hard part about our morning was the wind, we tried to use leaves in our work but it was definitely hard! We'll keep trying!
These books helped us visualize what artwork could look like. They are very inspirational!
Rock and stick art
Mandala art on a stump.
We decided that we wanted some berries like the ones we used yesterday for both the mandalas and for the potions that were being worked on! We found a berry bush in the garden!
Potions were a big hit this morning. The kids were finding all different sticks, dirt, and pieces of nature to create their potions. We brought out a pitcher of water to see what would happen if we added it to our potions. As one friend added water to their pan he said, "this is the best potion ever!"
