Today was forest day! One of our favorite days of the week!!! This week I got to go into the forest with the kids and they were so excited to show me all of the cool things that happen in the forest!
JD said, "Come on Ms. Beth follow me!"
After exploring for a little bit WK ran up to me very excitedly! He said, "you have to see what I found, come on!" I followed him through the forest and he showed me...
A frog!
He was so excited but he looked at me and said, "be quiet so he doesn't leave!"
Some more friends joined.
WK said, "look it's a frog, shh we don't want him to hop away."
As the children moved closer to the frog he did indeed hop away but they had fun looking at him while he was there!
WK searched for him for a little bit to see if he could find him again but he couldn't.
A little bit later we heard a few friends screech with delight because they found another frog!
This one hopped away pretty quickly which led the kids to try to find it using a different method than WK's!
Looking didn't work so we moved on to speaking the language of the frogs lol!
Ribbit Ribbit!
After looking for the frogs we went back to some of the things that we love to do in the forest. Lots of friends enjoyed time climbing trees and running through the brush!
These two friends had fun playing on the fallen log! AC wanted to climb up the log but ZG was a little scared. AC said, "come and follow me, it's ok" and then he began crawling up the tree with ZG following him!
JD found two leaves and said, "this ones large and this ones medium sized!"
It was quite a day in the forest! We can't wait to head back next week!!!
