Today we went to explore the Forest. For our returning friends it was exciting and welcoming. Our new friends were equally excited to find out what this Forest thing was all about. As we arrived at the Forest several friends noticed a huge web wrapped around some branches. We wondered what it was. A few friends had their own ideas of what it was and what was inside.
"It's a spiderweb!"
"Look at that yellow stuff. It's got a pointer."
Another friend said: "It's just a cocoon. The baby caterpillars turn into big caterpillars when they grow out of the cocoon!"
After their find, it was time to go into the Forest and off they went! You can't imagine the joy, the shrills and the excitement! I was just excited as they were and there I went running behind them to capture all the fun and excitement. They explored every path, found new paths, even found a living hopping creature!
"Come on! It's gonna be so cool in there!"
"Look at these mushrooms!"
"This is a really big stick!"
A friend found a frog and these two were so captivated by it that they spent a lot of time observing it and trying to catch it. They reached out several times to touch it but each time the frog would jump and they would giggle. Another friend joined in on the fun too and he thought it was quite the fun to try and touch the frog. It startled him at first when the frog jumped but he just got a big laugh out of it.
"I made it from underneath!"
"I'm going into the wild!"
"I'm going back in!"
Friends enjoyed climbing and swinging from their favorite tree in the Forest! They did lots of climbing!
This friend helped another friend to climb up onto the log so that he could reach the limb.
Friends helping friends!
"Is this a root?"
Yep, it's a root! A root is something that helps trees grow and they grow under the ground."
Oh what a fun time they all had visiting their favorite place for the first time in a long while! Such a wonderful day!
