The kids were so excited to finish their work on our alphabet this morning! It has been amazing to see the children so focused on this work all week. They have worked so hard together to figure out how to make each letter, to decide on how many children should be a part of each letter, figuring out turn taking, and understanding how to be a positive component to our group! We've all loved every minute of it!
Once we made our last letter we went back to our list that we have been using to keep track of the letters that we completed. The kids sang the ABC song and looked for each letter as they sang it. Luckily it looked like we had all 26 letters!
Then we uploaded all of the pictures to the laptop so we could organize them and send them on to Ms. Katie so she can help us photoshop them. I had a group of children help me name the letters and then find the corresponding letters on the laptop so we could rename them in the folder. They worked so hard on this project and it is amazing to see how many letters the kids are recognizing!
Ms. Katie is going to photoshop the background out of each letter picture so the kids can give them their own backgrounds. We are discussing what the children want to do with the letters once they're ready as well. Right now they would like to either make them into a poster or a book. We'll keep working on this next week and hopefully have a finished result soon!!!
