Explorations Abound!

Dropper Art

Our little scientists were excited to revisit our "Slow Down" art project. This time we decided to use one very large vase and the children took turns putting drops into the water. Before we started we talked about putting a small amount of colored drops into the water and then taking a moment to really see what happens! They did an amazing job of slowing down, putting in a few drops, and watching the outcome!
Today's comments include:
"Look, look they're mixing!"
"Red's almost to the bottom!"
"Why is the red going to the bottom first?"
"Because we droppered it first."
"Oh wow! Look at the blue go!"
"When I get super close up it looks like a rainbow!"
"Pretty cool!"

Outdoor Blocks

We got to check out the brand new outdoor blocks! We were so excited to pull out all of the different blocks, see how to put them together, explore with the ramps and wheels, and play with the wheelbarrow! There were a few friends trying to create ramps and they worked really hard to move the blocks around in order to make their ramps work out. There was a lot of determination involved, as well as creativity! This was a great exploration for the morning!!!
