"You have to be nice to the Earth."

Today is Earth Day so we took kids outside to take care of our Earth!

We took weeded in our care space as a way to take care of our Earth!

While a group was working outside, we had groups working inside. One of the choices we had available was to draw flowers. We used oil pastels, pictures of flowers, and real flowers to help depict the beauty of our Earth.

CB is looking at an image of a building and trying to recreate it. He started off with just stacking cups but realized that those cups couldn't make the design the was that he wanted it to look. He asked if he could have blocks to add to his creation. He used the blocks to create the bottom of his building.
"It's stabling! If we put those closer together it'll be more stable."

ST constructed a rocket ship out of the cups and then placed cups around the rocket ship to make water.

LM "Gold! Look at all the at Gold!"
MM "This is a bear cave. No people - Yes bears! There's diamonds inside."

 ML "It's a castle."

We got a chance to try out the new slackline on the hillside today! The kids loved it! They chanted for each other as they tried to walk on it, "Go go, you can do it!"
