Working on the Playscape!

Today Ambrose took the day to have all the kids give some extra care to our playscape! It's that time of year where we need to clean up all the garden areas and help our playscape look beautiful! One of the areas that the Willow children have been especially concerned about is the space around the big tree by the rocks at the bottom that has "baby" grass growing. We took it upon ourselves to make a "gate" around the area to protect it. Check it out below! We also have a care space that we are responsible for all year long right outside of our doorway so we went to work on that space as well! Caring for our spaces helps us understand how to care of our world, ourselves, and each other! The kids did a great job today!

To protect the "baby" grass the kids wanted to make a "gate" to put around the area. They decided to use popsicle sticks but of course the popsicle sticks needed to be beautiful before we could put them on the playscape!

The kids worked really hard putting the sticks around the "baby" grass space and we utilized the tree trunks as well to help blocks things off!

We also needed signs. Here's what the kids worked on.
