The Willows have been very interested in sculpture after our walk to the sculpture park last week. Today, we put out strips of paper. The children decided to use them to create their own paper sculptures. There was lots of quiet concentration in the room as the artists experimented with ways to arrange the paper.
"It's 3-D!"
Emmett even made art he could wear!
The children discovered that our classroom light atelier is a place where they can create sculptures as well, including ones that move!
A hanging sculpture
A sculpture that goes up and down
A zipline
