Drawing is a very popular activity in our classroom. It is exciting to see how the children's drawing skills develop from week to week as they add more colors and details to their work. Often, our classroom artists want to take their art home each day to share with their families. However, some artists like to hang up their work in our classroom. Today, the children suggested that we create an "art gallery" in our classroom for our artwork. We hung some frames on our "closet wall" and prepared some old canvases for painting.

Some very important learning took place in our ramp-building area. The children discovered that by moving the moulding to the side a bit, they could get the marble to change direction. They also noticed differences in how far balls and marbles traveled. They talked about how the size of the ball affects how far it goes as well as how the ramp was built.
"It changes directions because it's bended a little."

"The big marble rolls all the way into the quiet area because it has more weight because it's bigger."
"It goes far because the ramp is so big."
