We were very busy today!

Sophia brought us a caterpillar that she found at her house today! We were very intrigued by it and wanted to know what kind of caterpillar it was! But first we wanted to give it a more permanent home with leaves and sticks. Maybe if we give it sticks it will make a cocoon!

After doing some research we decided that it was a yellowstriped armyworm and that it is going to turn into a moth!

We had some friends very excited about the rain and all the umbrellas in the hallway. We figured today was the perfect day to try them out! So we put on rain boots, grabbed an umbrella and headed outside!

We couldn't resist jumping in some puddles!

Here's the culprit of most of our wet bottoms! A wet slide is a fun slide!

Some friends didn't want to go outside so they enjoyed the collaboratory!

We also did some painting related to the eclipse yesterday. The kids wanted glitter paint to create their own renditions of the eclipse!

We also worked on our agreements today. We talked as a class about the things that we agree to do everyday to make our learning experience the best!

The kids came up with four agreements:
1. Be Safe
2. Use nice hands and feet
3. Use your listening ears
4. Be kind and respectful

We then drew pictures of these agreements and we will practice them everyday. Feel free to talk about them at home as well!
