We are sad to report that our first rocket is being taken out of orbit. Over the last couple of weeks the kids have noticed that our rocket has been falling apart (As one friend said, "maybe it was hit by an astroid!"). As we talked about it they decided that they want to make a new, bigger rocket. We had a group today go for a walk and look for a bigger box. We had another group stay in the classroom to be astronaut engineers and design a new rocket for us! The designs are amazing, we can't wait to see what the new rocket will look like!
Important parts of the rocket according to Brown Room Friends:
Fire (and lots of it!)
Space station (where the astronauts live)
Wings
An Airplane (we haven't decided where the astronauts live at this point so we'll have to keep you posted on that one!)
And it is very important that we have space suits
We have a lot of accomplish in the next few weeks!!!
We watched a real rocket blast off!
