We began thinking about our house of straw today. After looking at the blue prints from Emmett's mom we talked about "fasteners" (thanks for teaching us about that Nora's dad!) and what we could use. Just in case you forgot a fastener is something that will hold our pieces together like nails, screws or in our case glue and wire. We found this process very difficult because the glue doesn't dry that fast and the wire is hard to wrap tight enough around the straw! We worked very hard on our creations today and we will continue tomorrow. It may take awhile to figure it all about but we will make a beautiful straw home!

Love the use of "fasteners"! So cool that this was learned from a parent!
