We did some representational drawings/paintings today. Ms. Beth was given some beautiful sunflowers. We explored the flower and looked at all its beautiful parts. Then we drew the flowers and painted them using watercolors!
Here's a few of our beautiful paintings!
Another group of friends worked on the Three Little Pigs story. We looked at the Three Little Pigs An Architectural story and then drew pictures of what we thought the houses should look like.
Of course we had to do a little group story telling first!
In anticipation of doing to major building to make our three little pig houses we decided to give the kids tools and a pumpkin to practice on. They learned about the different types of tools, how to use them and how to be safe with them! We can't wait to start doing some real building. We will continue to practice the week and then see when the building will begin!
If your child comes home full of green slime (or more likely with a different shirt on and a slimy shirt in their backpack) it's because we explored with some awesome instant slime today! The kids loved diving in and getting gooey!
