"We can see a rainbow!"

During one small group today, the children worked outside at "the rock festival". Before they went outside, we had another discussion about flags. We have been taking about adding a flag to our festivals. We decided we should come up with some ideas of what we really want on our flags. 

So, they brought out with them clipboards, colored pencils, and paper. We checked out some flags that are on the playscape to get ideas. We also got some inspiration from a sprinkler! How? Well, when the sprinkler twisted in just the right way, the children noticed a rainbow! 

We now have a beautiful collection of flags. Some with flowers, bugs, lines and a lot of colorful rainbows. We will use these drawings when we begin work on a large flag!
